Top Five Cocktail Bars in Budapest

I’ve always wanted to go to Budapest, I’m thinking maybe 2019 might be my year! Who doesn’t love a good cocktail? From a simple Martini to a Zombie Cocktail, everyone has their favourite. And what better occasion to order yours than when celebrating your best girls Last Night of Freedom. Here we’ve run down the best cocktail bars in Budapest to fulfil your mixology needs.

1. 360 Bar

Let’s start off this list with a one to remember. Why not take in the Budapest skyline, with a cocktail in hand at one of the best bars in Budapest, the 360 Bar. From the moment you step foot out of the lift, you’ll be lured onto the rooftop terrace and met with an amazing layout and atmosphere. And if that wasn’t enough, the cocktail list will no doubt blow you away more than the views.

You’ll be able to spot the likes of, l Buda Hills, Parliament House, and the Basilica on the Budapest horizon. We can guarantee you’ll not get a better view in the whole of Budapest.

2. Kiosk

Arguably one of Europe’s top bars and the ideal place to sample the best cocktails in Budapest, Kiosk will exceed all your expectations. With a truly unique cocktail menu – which was created with input from some of the best bartenders around including Mate Csatlos – Kiosk is a one of a kind which will undoubtedly excite your taste buds like never before. Cocktails on offer include what we feel might be the best on the list, the Chai KIOSK, which is Chai tea infused Absolut vodka, fig jam, Strongbow, gold cider and chocolate bitter. You’ll not get these on offer at many cocktails bars back home.

3. Blue Fox

Don’t be outfoxed by the name of this place, it truly is one of the classiest cocktail bars in Budapest. The Blue Fox offers some of the best cocktails in town, presented in a way that will truly blow you away. The elegant way the expert mixologist concoct your selected tipple of choice will amaze, and will no doubt exceed your expectations when it comes to taste. What does the fox say? You’ll have to wait until he’s finished his mojito.

4. Spiler Shanghai

With décor inspired by 1930s Shanghai, Spiler has a splash of the oriental vide that makes this place what it is. Designed to celebrate all kinds of vices on offer during the era, Spiler is all about living life to the fullest with a vibrant cocktail in hand. With the walls donning Basquiat and Warhol-inspired drawings, chic industrial interior and Chinese lanterns lining the ceiling, if your surroundings don’t’ impress you then the cocktail list will. With the likes of their famous Tokio Sex, Gesha’s Sake and My Thai Lady on offer, I can guarantee you’ll never look at another cocktail bar the same again.

5. Tuk Tuk Bar

The final bar on this list takes you back another decade with this 1920s themed establishment. The bar is more than just cocktails, it’s a celebration of women. During the 20s, women were allowed to walk around unaccompanied by men, look glamorous and drink alcohol for the first time. With that, the menu represents that. All drinks are made from the freshest of ingredients, which adds to the enhanced flavour the likes of Geisha, Thai Chi-Lee and Hungaroni have to offer. Come to join the party and celebrate the liberation of women-kind.
