The Ultimate Mothers Day Gift Guide

Mothers day means a lot to me, A LOT. I really believe in it.

My Mam is the most important person in my life. Anybody who knows me knows just how much my Mam truly means to me. My Mam has taught me everything I know. She’s taught me right from wrong, yes from no and shaped me into the woman I am today. I don’t know what I’d do without her, without her guidance and love, I’d be lost. Everything I am, I owe to her.

I have so much respect for my Mam for so many reasons. She’s overcome many obstacles in her life, conquered many, and raised me all by herself! I love the fact there’s a day to make her feel as special as she makes me feel every single day!

“Mothers hold their child’s hand for a moment and their heart for a lifetime…”

Mams deserve it, they deserve to have a day all about them! It’s only right, all they do for us. They gave birth to use for god sake! We owe them this one.

I try to make Mothers day as lovely as I can for my Mam and really try to nail getting her a great present which is hard. Our Mam’s always get us the perfect presents for birthdays and Christmas’ but when you ask them what they want, they play their usual selfless card… ‘nothing’ or ‘I don’t know’.

This year I’ve been very organised and creative (I must admit) with my Mothers Day gifts. I thought I’d share some inspo’ for anyone struggling! Hope this helps!

1. Calvin Klien Eternity

You can’t go wrong with perfume for any occasion. My Mam loves perfume but tends to go for classic fragrances which are quite hard to find believe it or not. I raided The Perfume Shop website and managed to find this Calvin Klein Eternity classic! This perfume reminds me of my Mam, she used to wear it every day. Isn’t it mental how a smell can bring so many memories back? She used to pick me up from school on a Friday an used to take me out for tea! I couldn’t not buy it for her! They’ve since developed the fragrance which is still gorgeous but way more florally and more to my liking perfume-wise. This is oakier and more distinct, suiting my Mams preferences down to a T. I grabbed a 100ml bottle for only £37.99, what a bargain!

2. Nip & Fabs Dragon’s Blood Fix Kit

My Mam is always on the hunt for the latest revelation in anti-ageing skincare, therefore, I’m always taking note of what the latest trends are for her and what other bloggers are saying. I’d heard so many amazing things about Nip & Fabs Dragon’s Blood Fix Kit. The kit is focused on hydration and the ‘plumping experience’ something which my Mam longs for! There are 3 super hydrating products containing dragon’s blood (from the Croton Lechleri tree) which forms a protective film on skin to protect against environmental aggressors, reduces redness plus plumps your skin.
The Kit includes Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Mask which is an intensely hydrating gel mask combining multiple skin perfecting complexes to plump the look of wrinkles and refine the skin’s appearance for a brighter, more youthful-looking complexion. Dragon’s Blood Fix Cleansing Pads which are enriched with salicylic and hyaluronic acids which are said to deeply cleanse your pores and provide long-lasting hydration to help your skin appear plumper. The witch hazel helps reduce the appearance of imperfections, leaving your complexion looking smoother and refreshed. And lastly, the Dragon’s Blood Fix Plumping Serum. My Mam loves serum and this is said to be lightweight on the skin that delivers an instant shot of moisture to dehydrated skin. The kit is available for only £35.00, I hope it makes a difference for her!

3. Aldi’s Luxury Candle & Room Spray

You know you’re an adult when you go crazy over candles! I can not get enough of these candles from Aldi! The world went into meltdown when these were released last year and it’s because they are literally the exact same as some of the Jo Malone’s range. No3 Pomegranate is my favourite and smells absolutely divine! I’ve actually tried and tested these candles and this is by far the strongest smelling and lasting! It’s the same with the room spray. I have the candle in my room you see, and obviously, it’s not safe to have a candle burning constantly so just before I go to bed I usually give the spray a squirt. It’s so dreamy! This range is really affordable too, you can grab this candle for just £3.99 and the room spray for £3.49. I managed to make them look even more luxe in this cute White-Washed Willow Wicker Hamper £8.00 from HobbyCraft!

4. A Homemade Jar of Sweets

I always see cute jars of confectionary in Debenhams but they’re a bloody fortune so I’ve taken matters into my own hands and made one my self. I got this jar from HobbyCraft for just £3.00! I then went to Aldi and bought four bags of Jelly Beans which were 65p a bag and filled it up… not bad eh!

5. Rhubarb and Ginger Gin

Not sure about anyone else’s Mam, but my Mam absolutely LOVES GIN! She even has a gin bar in our kitchen! We’ve been hunting this gin down for months, ever since Lidl released they were retailing it. After many unsuccessful visits to Lidl, I FINALLY got my hands on it! You can grab this Rhubarb and Ginger Gin at your local Lidl for just £11.99, what a steal. I also picked up this Wooden Bottle Holder from HobbyCrafts for £7.00 which adds an extra oomph to the present… don’t you think?

7. I’m A Mum Mug

You guys know by now I love PrezzyBox right? As I do for any occasion, I browse the site to see if I can find the perfect gift for whoever it is I’m looking for! Luckily for me, they have an amazing Mother’s Day section and I found this adorable mug. I thought it’d be perfect for my Mam to take to work!

8. Personalised Wish It Was Cake Lunchbox

You may recognise this lunchbox as I have it too! I couldn’t not get it for my Mam! We’re both always trying to be healthy, scoffing greens down our neck so I thought it was only appropriate to get her the same. This is also from PrezzyBox and is an exclusive design to the brand, you can pick one up for £16.99.

9. Adexe Watch

Adexe is a brand that has only just came on to my radar in 2018 and I have been majorly missing out. Just look at this watch! I literally want it for my self, I just LOVE the rose gold design. Adexe have recently been shortlisted by the British Vogue’s Jewellery Designer Profile! They are regularly featured in both GQ and British Vogue too so make sure you check out their website. This watch is a modest £95.00 and so worth the money, it’s of a great quality and size. Not too big and is very secure, I hope my Mam likes it. As a whole, the Adexe experience was perfect from the website usability down to the delivery, super speedy.

And there you have it 9 ideas for your Mam! What are you getting your Mam for Mothers Day?

Mother’s Day isn’t until May here in Aus but everyone’s Mother’s Day posts (like this) got me so excited for it that I went out and bought her the handbag she has been dying over lately! Now I have to somehow keep myself from giving it to her before then
