Celebrate Yourself In 2019

You’ve likely had a good year, challenging but overall enjoyable. You’ve likely given yourself to other people, be that your family, your friends, or your coworkers. You’ve likely been there during the hard of times. You’ve worked hard and learned new things. You’ve cared about matters important to your heart, and have tried to keep a level head throughout. You’ve tried to question your beliefs, or have become surer of them than ever. You’ve made it through the hardest day of the year, and have enjoyed the best day of the year.

You are a wonderful person. But what point does this overly gushing intro hope to actually state? Well, by listing this out methodically, we hope you realize just how worthwhile and irreplaceable you are. When we are busy helping others, developing our families or trying hard at our job, we often forget just how much credit we deserve. If there’s anything this article hopes to express, it’s that in 2019, you deserve to celebrate the person you’ve become.

You can absolutely do this in the following fields:


It might be that curating your fashion a little more can help you become the person you want to be without apology. Finding fitted clothing that suits you and helps you feel confident can be the absolute bedrock of ‘feeling yourself,’ and sometimes realizing that you are much more attractive than you give yourself credit for. You might not flourish your new garments at a high profile event or be walking down the catwalk any time soon, but putting yourself together in this way can have a profoundly wonderful effect on people’s confidence and comfort levels, so be sure to put this in its proper place and try to celebrate appropriately. Who knows what you could achieve with a little jazz in your walk?

This might come through purchasing items you might not wear. You might opt for a new piercing and additional nose rings to help that shine. You might dye your hair for the first time in twenty years. You might simply purchase a lovely pair of shoes. Celebrating yourself is expressing yourself, and this is a wonderful place to start.


You would be very surprised at how taking care of your health can often be the thing that helps you start respecting yourself more, and realizing that your body is something to love and trust. Eating right, putting your all into your cardio workouts and learning how to stretch appropriately not only helps your confidence explode due to correct self-care, but helps you feel much more secure in your skin, and of course being healthy feels wonderful as a default.

Speaking Your Truth

It might be that celebrating yourself in 2019 is found in making an effort to speak your truth more. Too often we neglect our true tastes and opinions just because we don’t want to feel like we get in the way of anyone else. No, you deserve to speak, so long as it adds something and helps you feel as if you have contributed well. It might be that starting this is the new goal for 2019.
