Ok, so I don’t hate Winter. I’m just in a fairly miserable mood because I’m cold, it’s dark outside, I can’t go for a run in the morning because it’ll STILL be too dark (I don’t like running in the dark you see, I find it a little bit creepy) and I can feel the flu coming on. The more I think about winter the more I realise that it only has its advantages when your cosy at home with a cuppa’. Therefore, today’s post is a bit of a rant, to be honest. I’ve collaborated five reasons why I dislike Winter.
Obviously, the weather. Who actually likes rain? Not me, and well the North East’s been a little miserable the past few weeks because of it. I’m totally sick of spending half an hour doing my hair for it to go frizzy with that god-awful spray rain within five minutes of me stepping out of the house. Can it just be like dry for a day please? Plus, trying to organise an outfit shoot around the weather forecast is an actual nightmare.
Dark Mornings & Nights
In the winter, you wake up to pitch black, you finish work to the pitch black. We need daylight, we need Vitamin D! I feel like my nights after work fly over and its night time straight away in the winter, the days go too quick.
My Cars Insurance, MOT AND Service
All three fall on around the same time, same month EVERY YEAR! How unlucky can a gal get? I always use Kwik Fit to find me the cheapest MOT quote and what’s even better is that that I can book my Service at the same time as my MOT and receive an additional saving over the standard individual product price. All hail quick fit. Also, let’s not forget about tyres in the winter too!
Having To Wear A Jacket Constantly
And ruining every outfit with a jacket, just to stay warm. Fashion goes out the door when the snow hits, it’s all about keeping cosy right? I can forget fashion blogging in the winter then…
Having To Scrap Ice Off Your Car Windscreen
Because I’m constantly in a rush and NEVER have time to scrape ice off. Or I just never have a scraper handy OR de-icer, OR I’m wearing false nails and end up snapping one in the process of scraping the ice off.
Sorry to be all negative nancy, but bring back the sun… please.
