Christmas is in a matter of weeks away?! Like what on earth. I swear it was January like two minutes ago?! Christmas really is my favourite time of year. I just love spending time with my family and the other half, of course. I love the buzz and the excitement, having two children in the family now really brings the magical feel back into Christmas too. I absolutely love playing Santa, and like to be super organised when it comes to present buying. I started buying back in October to 1. be organised and 2. spread out the cost, now that I’m an adult, I learnt the hard way when I first start getting paid monthly that leaving present buying till November pay was not a good idea. #SKINT
Anyway, present buying can be hard, especially for my Mam. She never just outright says what she wants, is your Mam like that? I always try so hard when it comes to my Mam because she deserves it. And our Mam’s do deserve as much as we can give them! Don’t get me wrong, my Mams a tough nut to crack when it comes to presents if you get it wrong you can totally tell… her face says it all. I tend to stick to the basics when buying for her, making sure I get things she actually likes, like her favourite perfume or makeup brand. Going out of her comfort zone is a no no, she sees it as wasted money. Haha! Anyway, while I was buying for her, I thought of everyone else feeling the exact same way about getting the right gift for that special person! So here it is, the what to buy your Mam gift guide.
- Something Personal
I recently came across the Personalised Gifts Shop on my quest to find a personalised gift! They have a huge range of gifts for everyone, so this one doesn’t just apply to Mam, this applies to Dad, Boyfriend, Sister, Friend. I went for this lovely personalised scented candle, how cute though? These are only £14.99 to. It smells amazing too. I also picked up personalised initial cushions, they match her bedroom décor. You can’t go wrong with home gifts, can you?
- Her Favourite Perfume
Like I mentioned earlier, I always get her presents she’ll use! Her favourite perfume is Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. It is an absolutely gorgeous scent and I always steal a few squirts! I picked up this 100ML bottle up from The Perfume Shop, I tried everywhere to compare prices and this was the cheapest I could find it coming in at just £105. They also have a great range gift sets which are brilliant value for money at the minute.
- Polaroid String Photo Frame
I got the Instax polaroid camera this year for my birthday and at a family BBQ in the summer I took a lot of cute photos on it of my two nieces! My Mam loved the photos and she has them pinned up in the kitchen so I thought why not get her this fab polaroid string photo frame?! I searched high and low for a polaroid frame and found Find Me A Gift, a great website full of gift ideas! I’m going to give her it with the photos on too. It’s was only £14.99, so cheap.
- Skincare Essentials
Ok, so this is gift will be out of my Mams comfort zone! BUT within reason, she LOVES skincare products. She’s always on the hunt for new brands to try so I just know she’ll fall for this. Meet Fair Squared, this brand has created organic skincare and beauty products of which all carry the fair trade, nature and vegan symbol. The best quality fair trade and organic ingredients have been hand-picked and crafted using traditional methods for each of the Fair Squared organic skincare and beauty products. None of the products have been tested on animals, only on humans for skin compatibility. I got her the face cream, lip balm, hand cream and foot cream. I’ve had a try of the hand and foot cream and it’s amazing! Me and my Mam both have really sensitive skin and don’t take well to fragrance-y type products but these are the total opposite. I’ve even bought some for myself! They’re really reasonably priced too.
- Something Daft
No stocking is complete without a daft present, right?! While I was on Find Me A Gift I saw these colour changing Rudolph mugs. I couldn’t not for £6.99, they’re matching too! One for me, one for her! They’re very festive too, I might give her them on Christmas Eve. What do you think?
Hopefully, this helps, I think all of these items are perfect for people on a budget! What are you getting your Mam for Christmas?
