Ah, Monday again. I’m sure I’ve said this before on here, but it always feels like a fresh start doesn’t it? A new beginning, a new week. I’ll save you the usual fitness and diet bullsh*t I usually start with BUT last week, I really felt like I looked in the mirror and saw a difference. I feel so much more confident about my body, I feel on top of the world inside. It’s mad how much better you feel in yourself when you’re eating the right food and exercising. Last week, I spiced things up, through a mix in the routine AND changed gyms! I am now a DW Fitness member. There was nothing wrong with my old gym, to be honest, I’ve just been needing a change. I’m still training with my personal trainer but I’ve now spread my wings and I’m loving it. I swim and have a steam room every day before work now and it’s a bloody good way to start the day. I’m feeling very relaxed and in tune with my body right now, it feels good to have a clear mind. I’ve even started to become more organised with my time so I’m not in a rush constantly. Simple changes can make sure a huge impact on yourself! I saw this quote somewhere last week and thought it was really relevant to how I’ve been feeling.

Anyway, let’s get back to the point of this post… my new Fitbit! I’ve had a Fitbit Charge for years, wearing it on and off when I felt like it, but since my heads been back in the fitness game, I’d been wearing my old one religiously. I think the whole idea around the Fitbit’s is amazing, it’s a really great way to essentially track your health. My Fitbit definitely makes me move more during the day, since having an office job and sitting on my arse all day, ain’t that great for me. So, I’d committed back to my fitbit and then disaster struck, I lost it. I presume it must have fallen off while I was out shopping one day. If you follow me on Twitter you’ll have probably seen the countless tweets I made about how heartbroken I was! I almost cried when I realised, drama queen or what. Team Fitbit saw my distress on Twitter and helped me get 20% off a new one since they are a little on the pricey side. I was over the moon and it was excellent customer service on their behalf, they couldn’t have been more helpful and sympathetic! I went for the Fitbit Alta!
If you’re not sure what a Fitbit is, I’ll elaborate, it’s an activity tracker, Fitbit is a well established and world wide company that makes fitness technology products. They have several product models, each with a slightly different list of features but the main objective is to track your steps taken each day. Their mostly all worn watches but there are some that clip onto your clothing.
So what does my Fitbit Alta do I hear you ask?

It does quite a lot, doesn’t it?! My honest thoughts on the Alta is that I love it. It’s become my best friend, it literally knows everything about me and follows me wherever I go. I’ve learnt so much about my body, my eating habits and most significantly to me, how I sleep. Turns out I’m a terrible sleeper and a restless one at that. Therefore I’m trying to figure out ways to improve that I can, of course, track using the Alta. Through using it, I’ve even learnt about Macros and what they mean, which has resulted in me having a better diet too. Compared to my old Fitbit, it’s more sleek and modern, even looking like more of an accessory rather than an odd looking watch. It’s very simple and easy to use, plus getting to grips with too. The only nitpick I have with it, is the fact you can’t get it wet! Never mind, you can’t have everything, can you!
I’d definitely recommend to anyone, looking to learn more about their body and lose weight to try a Fitbit. They are extremely good value for money and worth the splash. My Alta comes in at £99.99, not bad I think! Have you used a fitness tracker before?
