It’s particularly good for toning muscles because you get a lot of resistance from the water, and you tone your entire body, rather than having to learn different weight exercises for different areas. It’s particularly good for toning your arms and back, but you will see results all over if you are swimming regularly. It’s also a very low impact sport which makes it ideal for exercising after an injury or for people that are just getting into fitness and want to start out slow.

It doesn’t feel like a workout because you’ll be having a great time, so it’s easy to stay motivated.
