There’s no wrong way to get in shape, but there are plenty of boring ways to do it. There’s nothing more tedious than dragging yourself out of bed in the wee hours of the morning just to run around the block. Then, coming home to smashed avocado on toast with a poached egg on top…while that may sound delicious for some, for others that’s just an Instagram cliché.

Getting fit should be fun enough that you want to keep doing it. Pounding the pavement at five in the morning (can you believe there’s a 5AM??) day after day is not the way to get fit and stick to it. Sure, running is fantastic for fitness and you can listen to some of the best songs to keep yourself going, but almost every hobby you have is going to be fun. Keeping fit should be one of those hobbies.

Your fitness and your health is important and we all know this. You should choose workouts and regimes that make you want to get up and go with a smile on your face and a song in your heart. Well, at least with the motivation and fire to keep going! There are plenty of ways you can get fit but check out some of the better ways you can do it:

Zumba

We’ve all seen the music videos that Shakira releases, and even if you won’t admit it, you’ve definitely shook your hips around the living room to copy her! Zumba is a mix of different dance styles that burn this many calories off your body in rapid time – and it’s hilarious! Take your friends, your mum or even your dad and go and get your dance on. You’ll be getting fit while laughing at the same time. Fantastically social, you can make a great group of friends while you’re at it.

Personal trainer

Working out to get fit is one thing, working out to have a laugh and enjoy yourself is quite another and it’s exactly how it should be.
