Yes, I went back again. But for good reason, PizzaStorm has an amazing new menu which I just had to try, especially for you guys in case you fancied a visit!
PizzaStorm is hand on heart, my favourite eatery to go in Newcastle for pizza. Their make it yourself approach is one of the reasons that keeps me going back for more. You basically choose the size of your base, then dive right into their endless selection of bases and toppings… if you’re a pizza lover, it’s a pizza dream. Each visit has been different for me, each time I think I’ve created the most amazing pizza, and then I go back again and I outdo myself with another creation. I went along a few weeks ago, to let my taste buds go wild and to try their latest addition to their dessert menu… cookie dough! My favourite dessert ever.
I always look forward to going to PizzaStorm, not just for the pizza but for the amazing staff too. Their service is notably one of the best I’ve ever experienced, they’re always so happy to assist and advise on what works and what doesn’t throughout the creation process.
This visit I went all out. I decided on the standard tomato base, complimented with grated and mini balls of mozzarella, mushrooms, spinach, courgette, red onion and a lot of garlic! My boyfriend went for a chorizo meat feast with a selection of cheeses. These create your own pizzas cost just £7.55! What a bargain, especially for an 11inch pizza and unlimited toppings! We also choose two sides, the loaded wedges (£2.75) and the garlic bread bites (£2.75). Once we ordered, it was time to watch our pizzas being baked in the huge, and very impressive pizza oven.
After a short wait, our feast arrived. Both of our pizzas were absolutely delicious, you can tell PizzaStorm only use the freshest ingredients as everything is so flavoursome. My creation was absolutely divine and the chorizo meat feast was to die for. I’ve had the loaded wedges before and they didn’t disappoint, the crispy bacon and melted cheese sauce is a magical combination! We were both stuffed but did have a tiny space left for dessert.
And then it was the moment of truth, time to try the cookie dough! My mouth is honestly watering at the thought, to be honest. It arrived in a baking dish, nice and warm with a large dollop of Mr Whipey Ice cream. With the first spoonful, it revealed the gooey melted chocolate inside the cookie and the dough was so moist. I really didn’t want to end, it was so scrumptious! I’d go as far as to say the best cookie dough I’ve ever tried! I didn’t think their milkshakes could be beaten from my last visit but this cookie dough is amazing! The best part? It’s only £3.45!
I had another fantastic visit to PizzaStorm and as always, I really do recommend this place to anyone! The prices are so reasonable and it’s great value for money. Make sure you check them out!
