Foodie Review | Revolution Newcastle

On Wednesday evening I was invited down to Revolution Newcastle to taste their delicious new menu and here’s how I got on…

Myself and my Mam popped down at 7pm, place was buzzing as it usually is being a hotspot in Newcastle City Centre. We were greeted by the lovely Brandon who was going to be looking after us for the evening and directed us to our booth which was set lovely with a little reserved sign with my name on it, it’s the little things isn’t it!

We were then give the new menu with chosen out dishes we were allowed to try, which was a great selection I must add. I also had a peak at the new cocktail menu which is amaze, so many I wanted to try but you know school night and all -rolls eyes-. But saying that I did try the Fizzy Fruit Salad which is a mix of Absolut Raspberri vodka shaken up with Revolution’s own Mango & Pineapple flavoured vodka, grenadine, lime juice, pineapple juice and lemonade. If you don’t already know about the Revs loyalty card it’s a must when you visit to get offers and cheap deals on drinks and food! Bargain for £4 when you consider how much you actually save, 241 cocktails and all sorts.

So after much deliberating food wise, I decided to go for “The Mother Clucker” Burger which was a combination of a beef and chicken burger, an onion ring (I think), sweet potato fries, cheese, bacon and probably more! My Mam went for the Seafood Mixed Grill which included Patagonian prawns, grilled sea bream, calamari and celeriac remoulade, both meals came with sides i.e. chips, slaw, toast for the seafood.

So it was fair to say I was pretty stuffed after that burger, it was absolutely divine! The meat within the burger was cooked to perfection, I was worried about the chicken being a little dry but no heavenly (my mouths watering a little right now thinking about it!) My Mam said the Seafood was superb just the right amount, very tasty, plenty of flavour and probably the best option if your after something lighter.

Overall, I had a very pleasant evening down at Revs. The customer service is tip top, all staff we’re very friendly and helpful nothing was too much for them they even gave us a complimentary drink which was great. Atmosphere was very chilled, in fact it was beaming with life! I will definitely be making a return very soon to explore the rest of the new menu so if you lunching or dinning in Newcastle give it a go.

Big thank you to the guys at their end for inviting me down!
