I’ve been a little absent from the blog and social media for a few weeks now and I thought I’d explain with a catch-up post.
Nothing particularly exciting has really been going on, I’ve just been super busy. And it feels like it’s been forever since I last had time to see sit down and write a post. I hadn’t actually intended on leaving it this long but life just get’s in the way, doesn’t it?
I haven’t been on a total digital detox but I must admit it has been nice, prioritising other things in my life over this little space on the internet and just simply logging off. Pouring energy into my blog does take up a hell of a lot of time, but I wouldn’t change that as it’s so rewarding but it’s nice to just remind myself there’s more to life.
I’ve missed it really, I’ve missed jotting down what’s going on in my head, and missed being up to date with the blogging community. I finally found a spare few minutes to get back into the swing of things and logged back in. So hello, ya gal is back!
Why have I been so busy I hear you ask? What actually has been occupying me then?
Mainly work. I’m currently completing a Level 4 Certificate with the Chartered Institute Of Marketing in Professional Marketing which is extremely exciting for me professionally. I prepared myself for the late nights and lots of reading and I’m really enjoying it. Education as an adult is different and fun. In comparison to being at school and forced to learn pointless theories in maths, I actually want to be there and want to grow my knowledge. So yeah, that’s been taking up a few slots of my time recently.
I’ve also signed up to the Great North Run again (I must be mad!). So I’ve been out and about running, as much as I can with the current weather. This will be my fourth time completing the half marathon and I’m doing it for Cancer Research.
Cancer Research is a charity which is very close to my heart as recently a family member, my uncle who has been like a dad and a grandad to me my whole life has been diagnosed with liver cancer which has totally devastated our family. Another reason as to why I’ve taken some time ‘off’ the blog, to be more present with family. Time is very precious! We’re hopeful his treatment will prolong his life so if anyone could say a prayer that would be so comforting. You can find
I’ve also recently had a very hectic social life, every weekend since I got back from Barcelona has been filled with night outs, lunches and events! I literally haven’t stopped. It’s a hard life eh?!
I promise I will get my Barcelona travel blog up soon, in fact, I have a few exciting posts coming up so stay tuned. Thanks for baring with me!
