If you follow me on Twitter you’ll know I’m always skint. I’m don’t mean to spend all my money, it just kinda’ happens doesn’t it? I have a lot of out goings to live just like everyone else, although I do still live at home meaning I don’t pay as half as much I should. I do however contribute to living costs to my Mam as much as I can right now. The older I get the more I hate being an adult, everything just adds up. This year, one of my resolutions is to try and be a little bit more thrifty with saving, you know tighten up spending a little since I sometime make money rain when I’ve just been paid ha! I have three holidays booked already this year so I seriously need to start saving. I’ve been chatting to the famous Jon from The Money Shed, recently whom has been sending me over a lot of useful money saving tips, sharing simple ways to make money! He’s a genius.
So, today I’ve decided to let him take over Zest of Alice! Bringing to all you lovely readers a crucial money saving tip for online shopping! Hope you guys find this as useful as I have… especially for holiday clothes shopping.

Clothes, makeup, hotels, travel and even takeaway ayip4k7.
Those are the mainstay of any regular online shopper and anyone who is worth their salt always tries to get a bit of a discount on their purchases.
First I better just introduce myself. My name is Jon and I run a HUGE personal finance website called The Money Shed which is dedicated to both saving and making money from home!
For a while now I’ve been using an amazing browser add-on called Pouch!
Pouch basically sits there and KICKS IN when you visit one of the 1000+ UK retailers that are working with them and lets you know straight away if there is a discount or voucher code ACTIVE that you can use.
I know there are websites out there that list voucher codes for retails but often the codes are out of date and just kept on there for SEO purposes. Pouch ONLY shows ACTIVE voucher codes can you not only save yourself quite a lot of money by using it but also a lot of time as well! As vouchers or codes expire they are taken off the Pouch system so you never have to worry having your time wasted.
As you can see with the Dominos website above (which is a website I am ALWAYS trawling the web before I go to it to find active discount codes I can use to make that pizza taste a bit better!) as soon as I hit the site I get told there are 2 active codes available and can just click on them to untick it and use it!
I’ve been using Pouch for the last few weeks and I can’t begin to tell you JUST HOW MUCH MONEY I HAVE SAVED using it. One of the best things about it is that sometimes I will go to a clothing website like NEXT or ASOS and the thought of even looking for some kind of discount doesn’t even hit me but luckily Pouch kicks in and tells me straight away that there are some real bargains to be had!
Last week my Wife was doing some makeup shopping online and got presented with some fantastic codes to use for not only 20% off but also free shipping as well!
It’s like having your own personal friend who is always up to date with what discounts are available for your favourite shopping sites!
The add-on is currently available for both Chrome and Firefox with a version for Safari penciled in to arrive before the end of March!
So if you’re sick of paying full price for clothes and makeup and wish you could get more stuff for your money then make sure you download this amazing tool and you’ll start reaping the savings straight away!

Pouch sounds great – who wouldn’t want to save money on something that they were going to buy anyway. Off to check it out!

  • Ana De- Jesus February 13, 2017 at 11:26 pm

I am skint too so ‘Pouch’ sounds brilliant especially as unlike most voucher websites it only shows the active vouchers available!
