A few weeks ago I headed down to the lovely Northern town of Altrincham for the exclusive VIP launch for the opening of the brand new Jake Shoes store!
Jake Shoes have been on my radar for a long time now, they stock all of my favourite brands at affordable prices. I usually shop online since I’m from the North East though, so it was lovely to head down to their actual store!
Jake is an award-winning, independently owned and family run company. They impressively have an array of awards under their belt, most recently being crowned ‘fashion independent retailer of the year’ at the 2017 Footwear Industry Awards! They retail products sourced from around the world and include all the top brands such as Lelli Kelly, Michael Kors, UGG, Converse, Hunter, Dr. Martens and many more as well as lesser known brands from smaller factories such as Yokono and Heavenly Feet to offer styles you won’t see elsewhere.
I was fortunate enough to be invited down to their store lunch along with other Manchester based bloggers to explore the new store and see what all the fuss was about!
The interior of the new store is amazing! So much love, care, and attention has gone into the creation of the store’s layout. The owner’s imagination and visions have really come to life. It’s very shabby chic with lots of carefully chosen vintage and industrial pieces that provide a unique backdrop to display the shoes. There are a few interesting and exciting features to the shop that add that extra fun factor as well as uniqueness. For example, the aeroplane seats and church benches to try shoes on and the pool table! Very instagrammable.
I was welcomed into the store with a glass of fizz, as well as a pick n mix plus fresh popcorn from their amazing popcorn machine! I had a browse around the new store and began to lust over some of their amazing new ranges and brands! The atmosphere at the shop opening was buzzing, it was great to meet some new bloggers! I lots of fun chatting with Donna from Polka Dot Pink, Jacinta from Jacinta Dawn, Ellie from Eleanor Grace and of course Anoushka from Anoushka Loves!
I also had a go at the store’s funky arcade grabber to see if I could snap up a prize. After six attempts, it really is harder than it looks, I managed to win a little ball with a prize inside! I won a pair of Uggs, how wonderful? You’ll see these grey beauties in my next OOTD post, stay tuned. It’s set to be a regular fixture in the new store and children are invited to have a free turn with any purchase of kids shoes. What a fab idea!
I had a great evening at the launch and wish the team at Jake Shoes all the luck in the world with their new venture in Altrincham!
