Holly Willoughby has been one of my style icons for years. She represents us real gals, doesn’t she? She’s got curves and she loves them. You can just tell she’s so confident in her own skin and that’s infectious to us young girls. Go love yourself hun! Holly oozes glam yet she always holds on to that girl next door look. I’m genuinely in ore of her every time I watch her on TV or catch up with her snaps on social media because she just slays, effortlessly.
If you’ve not been watching I’m A Celeb, how on earth have you been spending your evenings? (Highlight of my day!) Holly has done a fantastic job holding the fort for Ant this year and I’ve found myself glued to Instagram pre-show to see her daily episode of #hwjunglestyle. I take so much inspiration from her because let’s be honest she knows her fashion stuff.
I was thrilled this A/W when Marks & Spencer announced their collaboration with Holly so that I could get my hands on some of Holly’s much-loved shapes and styles for this season.
The last two collections impressively sold out in record timings and it’s no surprise after the below leopard print dress and pink coat caught my eyes back in Septemeber!
Holly’s latest Must-Have curation launched online and in selected stores on the 6th December. This edit is a fresh take on the coming season, offering stylish Marks & Spencer separates, hand-picked by Holly.
My dreams came true last week when I was kindly invited down to the Marks & Spencers within intu Metrocentre to view the range exclusively and pick out few items to strut my stuff in.
This is a 14 piece edit, which includes some of Holly’s faves from an A-line mini to a hero blouse which is a chic nod to Spring, that will see you effortlessly through the cooler winter months too.
I was met by the lovely store manager Dianne on arrival and shown to the edit where I met Emma who was the main rep for the range. She gave me a run through of each piece explaining styles and fabrics which was insightful to understand what inspiration came from where. Emma was filling me in on how the latest edit had been flying out the shops and it was only day 2 of the launch!
Soft blush and rich ochre highlights in the collection, creating a warm and flattering colour palette to build on; whether you want to layer tone on tone or pair back a statement print with simple tailoring.
I loved the sprinkle of colour to the range, especially the pale pinks and mustards. I think it’s really easy to fall in a black hole *no pun intended* with dark clothing this time of year but Holly has created looks with colour to brighten up those dull days. My personal favourites from the range were the A-Line denim skirt and the striped jumper, both take me back to the ’70s yet have a modern twist to such traditional styles. Prints have been huge this year and I’m always banging on about how much I adore them for my figure so I was over the moon to see how Holly had incorporated some animal print into the range with this dress.
What often gets forgotten about when it comes to fashion collections is accessories. I think accessories MAKE an outfit and clearly Holly thinks the same, she’s filled this range with a gorgeous selection of handbags and shoes. Take a look at my favourites from the range, including this tan circle bag and the blush coloured heels. I really liked the height of the heels as I really do not care for super high heels to be honest as they’re never comfy, are they?! These beauties were super comfortable!
Holly commented in the collection, explaining ‘I love how versatile this edit is. For example, a striped top goes with everything; this vibrant take on the classic will seriously brighten up a Winter afternoon and will look just as great with cute jeans and heels come the Spring’. I love the fact Holly promotes longevity of her range and re-wearing, another reason why she feels so relatable as a celebrity.
Now, I know what you’re all thinking, the most important element of clothes buying… what was the fit like?! We all know the struggles surrounding high street fashion sizing but I can honestly say all of the pieces from this range are true to size. The clothes made me feel so comfortable and confident.
As I was browsing the rails, I really just wanted every single item however after trying basically EVERYTHING on, I felt this striped jumper, this pink coat and this A-line skirt worked best for my figure and Emma thought so too. The A-line skirt is so flattering for my figure and really exaggerates my waist!
Prices range from £17.50 for a ribbed polo neck to £45 for a Chelsea boot, which I think are so affordable! Especially for the quality. I’m so impressed by this collection and I’m excited for what’s to come from Holly with M&S. Check out the range here now!
