Since the clocks went back last weekend it’s really felt like winter again, don’tcha think? I wake up, go to work in darkness and then I leave work to come home in the darkness, so depressing right?! The only colour in my life right now is through my fashion. I’m loving this seasons must have trends and colours, the suede and browns are really big which compliment my dark hair… result. After doing my research aka reading other fashion blogs and of course reading fashion mags, I’ve came to the conclusion that surreal stripes are a must, 60’s fashion is being recycled, big bold prints are in and velvet is back with vengeance!
The jumpers have been racked out from the bottom of my wardrobe and my boots are back made for walking, my Autumn/Winter style has returned. I’d say being able to accessories your outfit with a scarf or gorgeous jacket is one of the best things about winter, when you remove the accessories it’s like the big reveal… wondering ‘what has he/she got on under that jacket today?!’ Oooo the suspense.
To keep up with my trend verdict I’ve been on the scout for some new pieces to strut around in and make the most of baggy jumpers. I came across the most unlikely place to shop the other day, SimplyBe. When I say unlikely I mean I thought SimplyBe only catered for plus size ladies, they always have fabulous ranges but I always presume they won’t have my size but… I was proven wrong! They do actually cater for a size 8/10 in some of their collections, I was thrilled. This season they have really stepped up their game, I got this lovely NutMeg Jumper which I’ve created two outfits for, one casual and one dressing it up! The jumper is a great quality, not too thick or itchy so you won’t over heat.
This look is casual, I’m wearing a classic Mac coat which was last seasons Primark along with blue jeans also Primark and last seasons Red Herring knee high boots. See I’m reusing the old and making it new, it’s crazy how a new jumper can spice up an old season outfit.
This is the jazzed up going out outfit I’ve created, I was thinking this look be a perfect look from office to night time. This fur gilet is again last seasons Primark (I love Primark, can you tell?!), same jeans and boots from yup you’ve guessed it Primark ha! The blue jeans work well with the contrasting colours.
I also grabbed this Spot Print Boxy Jumper which is now a steal buy since it’s in the sale. It is so flattering since its floaty yet fitted around the arms and chest, the material so soft on the skin keeping you very snug. I’ve accessorized this up with a scarf and knee high boots again from Primark. I was thinking this look is ideal for casual day time.
