The 2018 Beauty Haul

So, the last time I put together a beauty haul was back in JULY?! How did that happen?! I really did have the best intentions this year to keep up with a monthly beauty haul but y’know, life happens.

One of my blog goals for 2019 is to definitely produce more beauty-focused content as the older I get the more genuine interest I have in cosmetics. The beauty world is ever evolving and there’s just so much to write about. I must try at least one new product every month and it’s worth sharing my yays and nays with you guys!

The beauty community have really enticed me in with video content recently. I’m not really a big fan of watching videos on my phone, on social media or even on YouTube to be honest but watching make up tutorials this month has me hooked. It’s easy to identify why beauty vbloggers do so well from an influencer point of view as they’re so easy to follow and relatable. I’ve had great success spicing up my makeup routine and creating new looks, especially with eyeshadows. Make sure you check out,  The Makeup Chair I swear by these tutorials!

I seem to have accumulated a huge pile of exciting products these past few months and I’ve saved them all for November so if you’re looking for beauty Christmas gifts inspo, hopefully, this will help! Sit back, grab a cuppa and read all about my new faves!

1. Missguided Vibe Enhancer & Instant Feels Body Mist (£8.00)

Unsure what exactly a vibe enhancer or an instant feels body mist was I was intrigued by the Missguided cosmetic range. I’ve heard rave reviews of their perfume so I put my good faith into these two products and gave them a go. I do like a body mist, last year I received the Tom Ford body mist for Christmas and it certainly came in handy over the summer months to give me that holiday glow and a refreshing smell. The Vibe Enhancer is a hypnotic scent of fruity apple, combined with strawberry, warm caramel and vanilla. I absolutely loved the scent as it was so uplifting which so fondly reminded me in this cold winter, of summer and the sun. The Instant Feels is a slightly lighter fruity fragrance that combines raspberry, bergamont, patchouli and sweet vanilla. I prefer the Instant Feels mist as it was less overpowering. I wore both on nights out as they’re handy to carry around when you’re out raving!

2. Butter London Nail Varnish (£15.00)

Butter London is a brand I’ve never heard of before so when I was so kindly sent a few samples I was excited to find out what the fuss was about. I received the colours Her Majesty’s Red Nail Lacquer and the Yummy Mummy Patent Shine 10X Nail Lacquer. If I was to choose two nail colours to have for the rest of my life it would be these two shades, they are simply stunning. Honestly, I rarely use nail varnish these days as I always get gel nails however on the few days a month where I go bare with my nails I used the Butter London products and they were amazing. The polish is so thick, leaves a super shiny finish and is long lasting. I would definitely recommend this product!

3. Beuti Skincare Beauty Sleep Elixir (£42.00)

Again Beuti Skincare is another brand I wasn’t familiar with but after reading that the product has been sold out for months after it was announced that it was one of Meghan Markles favourite skincare products I knew I had to try it! I received the Beauty Sleep Elixir which contains 14 precious plant oils to help support the skin barrier function, a key role in fighting inflammation. The product is packed with anti-oxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients that counteract irritation and inflammation. I’m all for natural skincare after seeing and feeling great results from another brand, I also suffer my from very puffy eyes so I couldn’t wait to see the difference. Beauty Sleep Elixir can be worn under makeup evening skin tone, on the spot blemish treatment due to its anti-inflammatory powers and brightens the complexion for no makeup days. During precious beauty sleep when skin is renewing itself with its super boost of vitamins, minerals and a complete omega hit of 3,5,6,7 and 9 to wake up to beautiful glowing skin.
I can confirm the product works fantastically, I swear by this now and it comes everywhere with me. My skin is absolutely glowing! I’m sure it’s going to come in very handy over the festive period!

4. KORRES Natural Little Stars Collection (£10.00)

Like I said, I’m a lover of natural based beauty products and Korres is another brand who do things properly for our skin! Their products are paraben free and suitable for vegans! I was sent this gorgeous mini Mediterranean themed luxurious shower gel set. These creamy-foam shower gels with wheat proteins and Althea extract, help maintain skin’s natural moisture levels. Included was the Bergamot Pear, Fig, Lavender Blossom and Bergomate Jasmine gel. My favourite out of the set was the Lavender Blossom as I used it just before bed every evening and it was so relaxing. The products didn’t dry out my skin either!

5. Naturaline Swiss Cosmetics Bundle

More on the natural vibes this month is Naturaline Swiss Cosmetics! Naturaline Swiss Cosmetics has introduced a nine-strong range of vegan skincare products to the UK. I was lucky enough to receive a bundle of products from their latest range including the Liposome Eye Cream, Cucumber Facial Wash, Peppermint Body Lotion and Edelweiss Day Cream.

– Liposome Eye Cream (£8.99)

This eye cream is formulated to invigorate the sensitive skin around the eyes and uses organic pomegranate extract liposomes to hydrate and reduce the appearance of fine lines. I don’t particularly suffer from fine lines as of yet, but it has kept my eyes feeling hydrated and much brighter than normal after use for 4 weeks, it smells amazing too.

– Cucumber Facial Wash (£8.99)

This facial wash gently cleanses away grime and impurities. The Organic Guava and Cucumber extracts refresh and prepare the skin for any subsequent facial treatments. Free of artificial perfumes, colourings or mineral-oil based ingredients. The cucumber extracts are very cooling on the skin, I used this every day for 4 weeks on a morning and it really invigorated my skin!

– Peppermint Body Lotion (£8.99)

This body lotion is a ‘zingy’ lotion which aims to optimize skin’s moisture balance and elasticity. I absolutely loved this lotion as it was sensitive on my skin, left a long lasting smell and hydrated my skin.

– Edelweiss Day Cream (£13.49)

This day cream is an anti-ageing cream to protect against free radicals while helping rebalance oily and dry skin, it is also designed to help skin look plumper and firmer. Despite not being too worried about my skin ageing as of yet it is still important to create a routine now so that in 10 years time my skin still looks as firmer as ever. This cream really did make my skin feel and look firmer, it wasn’t too oily for me and it was the great base for my foundation.

All in all, I think the new range is fantastic.

6. Fizzylicious Bomb Cosmetics Gift Set (£12.99-£14.99)

Who doesn’t love a bath bomb?! The rise of the bomb has been lead by the likes of LUSH, but let’s not forget the other retailers including Fizzylicious. I received a gorgeous gift set jam-packed full of goodies and thought to myself this would make a really good Christmas present. Inside my box, was the Blush Scented Candle, 2 Bath Blasters including a unicorn one, 2 mini bath blasters and a Lime & Dandy Homemade Soap. They all smell absolutely amazing but my favourite was the unicorn bath blaster! It made my bath sparkly and pink, making me glow (literally) and smelling delightful. I’d really recommend a gift set for Christmas!

7. Grether’s Pastilles (£5.89)

Not strictly beauty, I know, but these Grether’s Pastilles has been a life saver for me over these cold winter months especially when I’ve had a tickly cough! They are unique, fruity, have a mild flavour and are made from blackcurrant juice. These don’t contain gluten or any artificial colourings or preservatives.
