For the last few weeks, I’ve been trailing Smile Lab Teeth Whitening Strips! Smile Lab is a Stockholm based cosmetics company, founded in London, way back in 2008 by young aspiring dentists and a group of Creative Entrepreneurs. Half of the team were seeking perfection in dental beauty hygiene, the other half seeking perfection in design and function. The result of their heads getting together was a highly innovative smile beauty care brand with a distinct focus on design and quality. I was very excited to try the strips, I’m very big into home teeth whitening kits and have also tried the Whitewash Nano Kit, you can read that review here. Smile lab’s philosophy is that if they can’t create a cooler, smarter, easier and a better experience for their customers, they simply won’t do it at all. Their range includes teeth whitening treatments, daily use smile beauty tools and luxury accessories.
Let’s start with first impressions, I really loved the branding for obvious reasons, the pink colour! It presents a really feminine, luxury brand to me. The box is very swish which the strips come in, and even has a cute little pocket where you can eliminate the packaging and store compactly. However, I can only see this brand appealing to women, not men just purely because of the packaging. I asked my partner, would you buy this? And his reaction said it all, not with the bright pink colours or women on the website.
The strips are really easy to use and you only have them on your teeth for 15 minutes, I wore mine on a morning while I was getting ready for work, even in a rush they fit into any routine. I was a little sceptical about what sort of results I’d achieve within that little time but hey, that’s why they’re called FLASH strips right?! For those who’ve never used strips before, they include an instruction leaflet. Smile lab claims they work really well under great stress and will positively change the way you feel about your smile. I was really impressed with how they work. There’s a difference pretty much straight away after use, my teeth looked a few shades lighter after only one application. I know they all claim to do that, and yes, I have been sent this set but I’m not just saying it because I have too, these strips really work. The stripes taste minty, a bit like the taste you get after you’ve been to the dentist. They also contain cleaning and hygiene agents, which mean they’re really good for your dental care!
Overall, I loved the Smile lab Flash Whitening Strips. They come in at just £35, which is a total bargain for budget teeth whitening and for the results. I’ll definitely be purchasing another batch and trying their other products!
