One of my New Years resolution in 2018 is to definitely take better care of my skin. I’ve been banging the drum for a while now about having a proper skincare routine in place and how essential it is. One of my favourite skincare brands at the moment is definitely Origins!
I’ve written a few posts in the past mentioning Origins but never a dedicated post so, I thought since I received a gorgeous set for Christmas it would be a good idea to do a brand spotlight.
I was lucky enough to open the ‘Let Us Glow’ skincare gift set (£29.00) on Christmas day from my lovely other half, he knows me too well! Within the set, there are four main products from the Ginzing range which include:
- Ginzing™ Energy-Boosting Moisturiser 50ml
- Original Skin™ Renewal Serum 15ml
- Ginzing™ Refreshing Eye Cream 5ml
- Ginzing™ Refreshing Scrub Cleanser 50ml
The set also includes a lovely purple wash bag, very compact and handy for the gym!
I’d been lusting after this gift set for a while as I really wanted to try all four of these products without having to commit to buying the full sized products. I think it’s most woman’s worry when they’re buying new skincare products, that one, they hope the product will actually work for their skin type and two so that you don’t waste money. I always like to try before I buy and these sets are the perfect solution for people like me.
The Ginzing range is all about awakening skin and making it look all glowy, something I struggle with sometimes with lack of sleep and the gym.
Each product in the set has its own unique selling point and miracle solution, therefore, I thought I’d do a mini review of which for anyone wishing to buy perhaps one of the products included.
1. Ginzing™ Refreshing Scrub Cleanser 50ml
Let’s start with the scrub. I already use Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash daily to remove the thick of my make up, adding the scrub to my daily routine really rejuvenated my skin after the using the face wash. This 2 in 1 scrub cleanser is mixed with radiance-boosting Panax Ginseng and energising Coffee Beans. The Natural Jojoba and Carnauba Wax ingredients gently exfoliate to help unclog pores to ultimately achieve a smoother and brighter look for the skin Skin looks smoother, brighter. The texture is quite thick meaning you don’t have to use a lot of product to spread evenly around the skin, always a good thing as it lasts longer. It smells very fruity which is no surprise since there’s grapefruit, lemon and spearmint within the ingredients list! This product is recommended for dry skin which is why it works so well with my skin. For a full-size 150ml bottle of this scrub, it costs just £15.00.
2. Ginzing™ Energy-Boosting Moisturiser 50ml
I’m always very wary of using different moisturisers, my skin is quite sensitive and often some moisturisers have the complete opposite effect for me. I was relieved when my skin had a very positive reaction to this Energy-Boosting Moisturiser. I applied the product after using the wash and scrub products to finish off routine. This is a lightweight, oil-free, energising moisturiser that instantly hydrates. It feels quite liquidy and fine, meaning the first time I tried it, I used more than I needed as once spread evenly around the face and neck it coats nicely with minimal product. It’s fortified with legendary skin-boosters like Panax Ginseng and Coffee Bean, similar to the scrub. After use, my skin feels rapidly refreshed and revitalised to resulting in a healthy glow. For a full-size product, you can grab this tub for £25.00.
3. Ginzing™ Refreshing Eye Cream 5ml
I had a facial last year and the beauty therapist told me I needed to start taking more care of my eyes. Immediately, I panicked that thinking I had wrinkly eyes for my age! I’ve never really used an eye cream before so I was desperate to see whether this cream could improve my eyecare! This is a clinically-proven morning-after eye cream instantly said to reduce dark circles. I’ve been using this for the last four weeks, on days where my eyes looked dark, when I was hungover, when I was tired it and definitely had an effect. Puffiness is something I suffer from and this made it virtually disappear. It’s formulated with Coffee Beans, Panax Ginseng, Magnolia Extract and natural optic brighteners again, similar to the other products from the range. I can’t recommend this product enough! For a full-size pot of 25ml of this, you can expect to pay £20.50.
4. Original Skin™ Renewal Serum 15ml
I’ve never really liked serum’s, to be honest. I’m not keen on the consistency of serums, it just never seems to lie very well on my skin. It just feels clammy. I gave this serum a good go since it’s claimed to be a revolutionary new serum restores glow 5 ways:#1: De-stress. Persian Silk Tree helps skin rebound. #2: Smooth roughness. Chestnut Seed Extract refines texture. #3: Delete dullness. Willowherb restores glow. #4: Shrink pores. Algae helps reduce oil to help them appear to vanish. #5: Minimize flaws. Blurs imperfections. After using it for four weeks I’ve been converted! This isn’t clammy at all or thin, it’s actually quite thick and silky on the skin. It really worked for me and left my skin looking all fleeky. A full-size 100ml bottle of this serum is £45.
Overall, I loved all four products. The products, because of how amazing the quality is, last for ages too. Origins didn’t fail to impress me yet again and I can’t wait to explore more of their ranges throughout 2018. Personally, I don’t think these products are expensive and these sets are a great way of finding out whether they work with your skin without having to splash the cash.
