Hasn’t January been a really long month! I feel like it’s been about a year long. Not sure whether that has anything to do with the fact I’ve been skint and it’s a 5 week month or maybe I’m just bored with the January diet! Roll on February is all I’m saying.
One of my blog’s new years resolutions is to definitely do a beauty haul each month so I’m kicking it off today with an exciting January haul! Admittedly some of the products in today’s post are some of my Christmas presents since I’ve finally had the chance to try them out and I’ve been desperate to share them with you all! I also received the mother of all PR deliveries from the hun’s at Alex Silver and KISS just before Christmas which basically SORTED me right out over the Christmas party season. So let’s get cracking with my recent beauty faves.
1. Tiffany & Co – Eau De Parfum (£52.00)
I didn’t actually know Tiffany had created a fragrance until Santa left me a blue bag under the tree! I absolutely adore the brand, it’s so iconic, isn’t it?! I have a few gorgeous pieces from their jewellery range of which I’ve received for birthdays, therefore I was thrilled to try their fragrance. Aesthetically the box you receive the perfume in is stunning, as is the bottle which reminds me of a diamond, all the curves and shapes it has to it. The perfume itself smells delightful, very fruity and light. The smell isn’t overpowering which I like, yet it’s long lasting which is crucial. It’s described as a “radiant and modern scent that opens with vibrant top notes of vert de mandarin.” Which explains the fruitiness. After doing some research on the fragrance I was right to be reminded of a diamond as it recalls the iconic Tiffany Lucida and Tiffany Yellow Diamond cuts.
2. Lypsyl Mirror Compacts (£4.99)
I’m a huge fan of Lypsyl, they are my go-to product for when my lips are super dry! Lypsyl has created a new stylish soft touch mirror compact lip balm which is ideal any handbag or makeup bag accessory. I was lucky enough to be sent the four different compact lip balms which include Fresh Orange Blossom, The Orginal fragrance, Luxurious Vanilla and Zingy Mandarin to try. The fragrance I most preferred out of all four was the zingy mandarin, it smelt like a starburst! The products are easy to open, perfect for soft, smooth and super-healthy lips on the go. These nourishing formulae contain moisturising shea butter, velvety cocoa butter and aloe vera helps repair chapped lips.
3. Hempz Shimmering Herbal Body Soufflé (£13.95)
Hempz is a new brand I’ve discovered this year! I’m all for natural in 2018 as I have been exploring natural and organic products. What drew me to Hempz was the fact all of their products are 100% natural, paraben-Free, gluten-free, 100% Vegan AND THC-free. I’ve been trying the Shimmering Herbal Body Soufflé which is enriched with 100% Pure Natural Hemp Seed Oil since my skin has been so dry with this cold weather. This soufflé is an intense body moisturizer whipped into a rich, light, luxurious soufflé for fast absorbancy! It smells very citrusy, with a hint of coconut and has a touch of shimmer blended in to moisturize, condition and revive skin leaving it soft, smooth, hydrated and glowing. I absolutely loved the results from this moisturiser and am definitely going to continue using it plus exploring more of their range.
4. Tom Ford Soleil Blanc Shimmering Body Oil (£72.00)
I’m totally lusting after all the Tom Ford products now after using this and the lip colour I tried in December from World Duty-Free! This shimmering body oil is said to ‘capture the sultry effect of sun-kissed summer skin’ which is something I NEED at the minute. I’ve been hammering the fake tan now I can’t use sunbeds so I’ve been applying this oil the day after I’ve applied the tan and it’s worked wonders. Not only has it accelerated my tan, it’s made it longer lasting and hydrating! It smells absolutely gorgeous, the only thing I can describe it as is summer. It smells like summer! The oil isn’t greasy and dries very lightweight on the skin. This body oil is suitable for all skin types so everyone can have that Tom Ford glow!
5. KISS Beautiful Brow Kit (£9.95)
So I mentioned about receiving the best delivery from KISS just before Christmas and this fabulous brow kit was included. I received the medium colour which is a perfect match for my brows! This kit allows you to shape, define, fill and set eyebrows to perfection. The kit features two brow powders to customize your colour, stencils to assist with shaping, highlighter, and wax to tame brow hairs and keep them in place. It was really straightforward and easy to use, the products were long lasting and my brows are on fleek since introducing the product into my routine. I’d definitely recommend and it’s great value for money!
6. KISS Wing It Eyeliner Kit (£8.99)
I haven’t changed eyeliner for years now and KIKO is the only brand I can rally on to not give me smudgy panda eyes so you could say I was a bit dubious as to whether this kit would work for me. Within the kit, there is one stencil, 6 looks, Gel liner with a slanted brush. I loved the slanted brush, it was absolutely perfect for the delicate areas of the eyelids which made it effortless to create any look. The gel liner didn’t and hasn’t smudged since I’ve started using it as it’s smudge-proof AND waterproof. Despite being waterproof it does come off easily enough meaning I was left with crusty eyes. I’m very impressed with this product and have been using it for my day to day work look!
7. KISS Impress Gel Fake Nails (£7.99)
I’ve been trying to let my nails grow and use gel to make them stronger but since I received these in my KISS delivery, I thought I’d give them a go. These are a gel nail breakthrough! imPRESS Press-on Manicure is the stay put, stay perfect, ready to use, press-on, must-have mani. The one-step gel manicure is SO easy to use since there’s no glue needed! It’s safe for natural nails meaning the nails don’t get damaged like they usually do with glue and they are hassle-free to remove. They didn’t last two weeks like normal gel nails however they did last five days which is pretty good going for stick on’s! The designs of the nails are stunning, these were my favourites, the rose gold is lush on!
And there you have it, some new products for you to try on my recommendations! What have you been loving this month?
