Anatomicals Haul – Review
Alert, a new beauty revolution is right in front of you… I present to you all Anatomicals.
Last week I was lucky enough to be sent some goodies from the Anatomicals team and I just couldn’t wait to share with you all my findings!
Anatomicals ‘Only Want You For Your Body’, this being their brand strap line is both genius and hilarious. Two words are what I’d say sum up this brand perfectly, as well as funky and different obviously. The company shout about “single-handedly rescuing Britain from daily grind and banned boring beauty regimes across the nation“, quite a statement but that’s what makes them different. It makes us, as consumers very intrigued as to what makes Anatomicals so confident about their products? Why should they not be really, since they’re strictly against animal testing and all of our formulas are also paraben free!
I was sent:
The Hawaiian Coconut Body Butter
Anatomicals More Hula For Your Moolah Hawaiian Coconut Body Butter is described as a rich body cream with a deliciously fruity, coconut scent. I prefer body butter over normal moisturiser because I do find it’s a lot thicker on my skin, which my skin seems to love and absorb better, plus body butter smells so much better doesn’t it? Normally, I have very dry skin so I was interested to see whether this would make the cut and match my skin type.
Verdict: I loved the body butter, they have the smell down to a T within their description, coconut-ty! Although being of a thick texture, the butter was easily spread all over my body and only small amounts were needed. After a few days of using it, it has left my skin feeling refreshed and nourished, plus smelling of summer.
Face Care Envelope
Anatomicals Face Care Set – From Worrying Complex To Wonderful Complexion, features three sachets which are the hydrating face mask, refreshing face scrub and anti-blemish treatment. I love a good face mask and probably use one at least every week. There’s something about a face mask that really ‘zones’ me out, especially when I’m in the bath all chillaxed. My face can get very dry, especially in the sun and with all the exercise I do, so I do invest in good moisturisers and cleansers.
Verdict: The anti-blemish treatment was my favourite, rather than it dry straight away, it stayed wet and creamy on my face, meaning there was no harmful scrubbing to get it off. It actually felt more like a moisturiser on my face. It smelt amazing, again fruity and left my skin glowing.
Grapefruit Bath Bar
‘From Your Favourite Eastenders‘ Grapefruit Bath Bar is described as a deliciously scented fun and funky soap that will leave your body looking and smelling good enough to eat. Scented with zesty zingy grapefruit fragrance to refresh and awaken. The bar is suitable for use on face and body. I’ll be honest, I never usually invest in a soap bar because my skin just doesn’t go well with soap, the situation usually ends in painfully dry skin but I thought I’d try this and give it a go!
Verdict: THE SMELL! OH, THE SMELL! It’s amazing! *inserts heart eye’d face emoji here* I think I’ve had a bit of a beauty revelation with this soap bar, as like I said I usually have a bad reaction to soap but with this, I didn’t. Infact, it has the complete opposite effect, it’s very moisturising and thick on the skin rather than thin and soapy. It left my bathroom smelling unreal too!
So, after giving Anatomicals a go as well as leaving my skin radiant, it’s left me wanting more! Visually, the branding and packaging are gorgeous, it really presents to me a confident and ‘out there’ persona. And quality, well you’ve read the above, haven’t you?! Price wise, winner budget beauty for me. You can purchase their ranges over on Asos here, check it out, you won’t regret it!
