A Clarins Facial Experience
If you’ve been keeping up with me this last week on here you’ll have read my Bridges Beauty Event post where I had a little tour around the best of the beauty counters in The Bridges Sunderland.
I visited the Clarins Beauty counter where I met the lovely Claire, we had a good chat about my skin type and what issue I have with my skin moisture. She couldn’t have been more helpful on Thursday about what products I need to be wearing and why, as well as demonstrating how to apply. She’s been working for Clarins for around 13 years she told me, she’d tried the products and raved about them with passion from experience so to be honest what we spoke about and the products, felt less like a sales pitch and more like an actual chat, girl to girl recommendation you know!
Before I met Claire I thought my knowledge of skincare was alright, I knew the basics but not the details. After chatting to her I realised I really didn’t have a clue until now. She tried her best with me to teach me about what each product does in the 15 minutes I had but she explained there was so much more so invited me back for a facial where she’d put together a daily routine for me in a bit more detail. So on Saturday I went back to the Clarins counter to see Claire for my facial!
I went with no make up on so my skin was ready to be cleaned and detoxed! She started exfoliating my face with the Gentle Exfoliator Brightening Tonic gently massaging in small circles which she told me removed all dead skin cells making the skin appear fresher and brighter. She then used Water Purify One-Step Cleanser which she applied with a cotton pad dabbing around my face which instantly makes the skin feel lighter. She also used an Eye Contour Gel which woke up eyes and took away my dark tired circles, finishing me off with some moisturizers and beauty flash balm to protect my skin making it look hydrated for when I applied my make up.
My facial lasted around 20 minutes helping me very much unwind after a busy week, she even gave my hands a good seeing to massaging and moisturizing. Once I was all dry and ready she to talked to me about the ‘Red Room’ which is a room out of the public eye behind the counter where you can go in and get a facial in peace costing only £15 but you then get the £15 back to spend on products, value for money or what which is starting again in January after the Christmas rush. She also chatted to me about my boyfriends skin, he has his issues so I was intrigued to find out whether they sold a lot of the Mens Ranges in store and as you can imagine it’s more of the women buying for the men ha! He was with me actually at the time so she ended up giving him a mini consultation complete with samples for him which was super helpful and has made him really start looking after his skin.
Claire and the Team at Clarins Sunderland within Debenhams really couldn’t have been any more helpful, they are so attentive to you as a customer and really do just want whats best for you. The way Claire spoke about the products really made me believe in Clarins and to be honest a few days later having used some of the samples I really do agree with her, the range is just fab. My skin is glowing, my make up is staying on longer and visibly looks more of a full coverage rather than patchy and dry.
Clarins have some fabulous gift sets this Christmas so I’ve popped a few on my Christmas list.
